Stealing some content
- 3 min readNow I know I’m stealing a bit from what my cousin is doing on his blog , but I’m not always that creative and I’m abusing this to try and set some topics worth writing about in advance. So here we go.
I’ve been thinking a bit about what I’d like to write about (I even wrote another post a few days ago, but it still needs a LOT of polishing) and I must say. I’ve got the following topics in mind:
- GameDev in general
- CQRS + ES applied to GameDev in Node.js
- Thoughts on games I’ve played
- Experiences I have in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
- Some random happenings in my life
Game Dev
One of the main reasons I started this blog was to talk about (yes you’ve guessed it!) GameDev. I’m currently working on a multiplayer game with the back-end being developed in Node.js. Luckily I’m not alone in this as I’ve teamed up with my cousin who has a whole lot more technical experience than I do. He’s also the brains behind most of the game design and I’m doing a lot of monkey work exploring technology options we can use.
This will most likely provide a bit of content to write about as well as serve to motivate me to sit down and make things work instead of philosophizing about possible solutions. I’ve got a very small subset of code that will soon be able to serve as a nice prototype for a certain part of the game, but it still has to be finished before I can provide more information.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
I’ve already written something on an experience I had with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but it’s not quite ready yet and will most likely be my next entry if nothing else pops up. I’m having my trusty editor (kudos to my cousin for all his help) look at it first because it was something I wrote in a bit of an emotional state.
It’s not anything very serious, but it might seem very ranty to some and I’d rather publish something that will be of actual value to people reading this. I’m also planning on adding some thoughts on the game as a whole and why in my view it is such a good game.
I think that might be it for now. Still very new to this whole blogging thing and trying to decide how often I’d like to blog. So I’ve now got at least 3 to 4 blog entries lined up for the near future. I’ll see if I can sustain this weekly (I might just opt to go for once every 2 weeks) but I’ll definitely write something at least once a month.
Anyway I have to first produce some content for the upcoming entries. Now back to work!
